A tool in Analog Efex, part of the Nik Collection, that’s used to simulate the kind of shallow depth of field blur you get from shooting at wide lens apertures. It offers both a circular/elliptical mode for isolating single subjects and a horizontal mode for tilt shift or ‘miniature’ effects. The Bokeh filter is often used as part of Analog Efex’s preset effects.
The Analog Efex Bokeh filter looks simple, but used with a bit of care and judgement (and on the right subjects) it can produce terrific shallow depth of field and ‘miniature’ effects.
