06 Reducing the saturation
This time, all I need to do is drag the saturation slider right down almost to its minimum value (but not quite – I want to keep just a trace of colour). The sky now looks much more natural.
07 The finished picture
It’s tempting to assume that whenever you want to modify particular areas of a picture that you need localised adjustments tools, selections or masks. But if the adjustments relate to specific colours, it’s simply not necessary. Capture One’s Color Editor can carry out changes like these perfectly easily.
