04 Vintage Camera
And this effect is from the Vintage Camera section. I like the warm, summery colour, the film border and the horizontal light leak running across the bottom. All these effects can be reconfigured and recombined, though – and note the Custom section at the bottom of the left sidebar – you can create and save your own analog film effects.
05 Manual adjustments
When you’re ready to start making your own adjustments, you can close the left sidebar using the button at the top left of the window (circled) and open the tools sidebar on the right with its own corresponding button (also circled).
As you can see, there are a whole range of effects which combine to produce the finished analog look, including Bokeh, Vignette, Light Leaks and Frames. There’s more besides, though, since only the effects used by the current preset are displayed here – there are others in the ‘Camera Kit’, which I’ll cover in a separate post.
06 My ‘analog’ picture
This is the photo I produced in step 04 with the Vintage Camera effect. I like the look of the effects and tools in Analog Efex Pro and I can’t wait to spend some more time with it. Look out for another post tomorrow…
